An old friend needed some specific headshots and I was happy to help her out. Here are a few.

TIFF 2011 Highlights | Toronto International Film Festival

So now that TIFF’11 is over for me, I thought I would share a handful of the images that I have taken over the last several days.

It was usually pretty busy at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, the main headquarters for the festival.

TIFF wouldn’t be TIFF without David Cronenberg!

Gus Van Sant, director of Good Will Hunting and Milk.

Film critic Roger Ebert.

You might remember actor Udo Kier from his roles in Johnny Mnemonic, Armageddon, Blade, End of Days, and a billion other films. He was a charming fellow.

Sony Pictures Classics are celebrating their 20th anniversary and co founders Tom Bernard and Michael Barker came to discuss the history of their company with Director Jonathan Demme.

Jonathan Demme is best known known for directing Philadelphia, Rachel Getting Married and Silence of the Lambs which got him the Academy award for Best Director.

You most likely know Heather Graham from Boogie Nights, Austin Powers and The Hangover. She was in town to promote her new kids film The Flying Machine.

Heather Graham along with Producer Hugh Welchman at the premiere of The Flying Machine.

It was a pretty busy week and it flew by real quick. The festival seems to be getting bigger and bigger every year with bigger crowds and more events. Let’s hope Rob Ford doesn’t follow through with his plan on cutting funding in the arts.

Those are great! Must say, I favour the shots of Heather Graham. She’s been a favorite actress of mine forever and very underrated.

Thanks Luca! Yeah I’m with you on that one and you’ll be pleased to know that she’s really cool in person too.

Guillermo del Toro | TIFF Bell Lightbox

I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Mexican director Guillermo del Toro at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. He’s currently in Toronto shooting his newest movie but decided to drop by the Lightbox to introduce the movie Suspiria and do a little Q&A afterwards. Some of Mr. Del Toro’s films include Pan’s Labyrinth, the Hellboy films and he was hired to direct the two new upcoming Hobbit films but due to production delays and New Line Cinema’s financial troubles he unfortunately couldn’t commit to the time needed to make the films. Instead Peter Jackson has taken over and Del Toro is still contributing as a writer. It was a lot of fun talking to him as he is a genuinely down to earth and overall great guy. Not to mention he’s a visual creative genius and will make some great films in the future.
